Equality? PT1

A foreign concept in deed for the United States at this point in time, is Equality. Hateful, bigoted people want to, and are succeeding in denying rights to a myriad of individuals, right now I’m talking about the EXTENDED GLBTIQ Community. Gays, Lesbians, Bi-Sexuals, Trans-Gendered, Intersex, and Questioning(sometimes Queer) individuals…..

Supposedly, according to the Right and a few “Moderate” individuals, the 14 Amendment doesn’t apply to the “GLBTIQ” community. I do NOT advocate the changing over night of a nation, what I do argue against is that this would be an over night change, that somehow the legalization of Gay Marriage would have detrimental consequences to “families”, as if their haven’t been children brought up in gay household for centuries., what these people are really saying is that a “gay family” isn’t good enough, and their children don’t deserve to have their parent’s love for eachother validated by their state, their Slave’-Taxing STATE, for thats the onyl definition I can give an institution that unFairly taxes their cisitzens.

I have a Myriad discontent to voice about the mistreatment of the  Trans-Gendered and Intersexed community, like their continued lumping in with the gay community much to their Chagrin. These people ARE NOT a Sexuality like, Gay, Lesbian, and Bi-Sexual, for they can either of those. Trans-Gendered people and Intersexed people are GENDERS!! and Sexes!!…A Trans-Man for example can be either Gay or Bi-Sexual, this may be a concept hard to grasp but its the truth…so many details so little time, Goodness forbid that someone take the time to learn about people other than themselves, and grasp the basic human fact that the world and all of our experiences are relative and not black and white set in stone.

Marriage for the Gay Community is FAR from the only worry the gay community has to face, in my opinion Hate Crimes protections are Paramount, followed by Adoption and Worker’s Rights, but seeing as though Marriage comes with 1000s of unspoken rights, Gay Marriage has moved to the forefront of the Gay Rights Movement. I do not believe that who I have sex with should be a legal means of deprivation of my Livelihood, basically I shouldn’t be able to be fired from my job for Gay Sex. The “Ick” factor has been used in various “tasteful” articles these passed few months, for the feeling straight men get when thinking about two-men kissing as opposed to lesbians. This isn’t valid, I don;t understand how in a society as socially and technologically advanced as ours that this is accepted SCIENCE, and Political Logic?!

Adoption should be a no brainer, a child wants to be loved. The “Right” would rather deny a child a family, and be alone than to allow a child a loving caring household…

They Equate Homosexuality with Bestiality and Pedophilia, simply put Gay MEN are rapists of everyone including animals. The Right argues that opening up Gay Marriage nationally will lead to Beast-Human Marriages and Child-Man Marriages, seriously? Theres a BIG GIGANTIC difference….animals and children are not consenting adults, and Animals Children cannot sign CONTRACTS, so how would this open up any type of Marriage except those performed by TWO consenting Adults…..but then even if that argument is negated logically, someone will always play the Polygamy card….I wont even get started…

Some might argue that they just want marriage for straight people and don’t mind civil unions. I negate this with various websites, and propaganda filled television interviews that denounced gay marriage and ALL marriage “related” institutions…so once again GAY RIGHTS ORGANISATIONS that point is inValid….we need to get smart, we need to get organised and we need to separate ourselves from those mis-informed Gay “Rights” workers who would advocate Civil Union over Marriage because its “easier”…I’ll bring up one of my favorite all-time Quotes from the Original Civil Rights Movement of the 60s…”Seperate is NOT Equal” my anybody’s Scales…

OilSpill: 2010

Posted in Politics with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 10, 2010 by phoenixjeff

Two things….Response time and Regulation

Response Time: People act as if they wanted the President to know beforehand that the oil spill was going to occur, teleport down to the site, and plug it up with his Big Toe. I don’t understand how this is being compared to a NATURAL disaster when this was a purely human error on more levels than the one. Took President Bush 4 days to sign a $10 Billion Help-Package for the area around Katrina, by the way for the fact checkers…

Regulation: I can’t stress enough how important, and sometimes detrimental regulation and DEregulation are to the people of the United States in all aspect of life. Every industry in the United States from the Food and Cars Industries, to the Drug and Oil Industries, regulation is the driving force behind many, if not all internal policies of these companies large and small. Regulation is here to protect people, and the American people’s pocket books even if sometime it may not seem that way.

Like it or not these institutions were set in place, much to the Business Right’s Chagrin, for their own protection. Can you imagine companies with Financial gains greater than most countries GDP in a year running around doing whatever they pleased?  The Oil industry alone as a whole, makes more money in a year than Canada , coming in at 11 on some GDP scales when ranked internationally.

I could go into all the detrimental ramifications of a deregulated oil industry, but I’ll give a smaller example for the sake of argument. The Coal Industry, there was a cave-in in Kentucky at Dotiki mine. This Mine ALONE was found by State Inspectors to have suffered 44 safety-violations under the law, and from January 2009 alone to April 2010 they were issues 31 closure notices. This is the problem with DeRegulation, a state or federal agency can issue all the closure notifications, and an infinite amount of violations under the law, but without a support agency to file FINES, or SEEK closure via force, these are but empty threats.

This is where the Chief executive of the State, Governor, and the Nation, President come into play, they are in control of their country and state Bureaucracy, this means that they can either provide funds for these agencies to carry out their duty, or they can eliminate their budget…this is why the Executive Branch is labeled….Executive….If a state or nation is run by a Republican, they are highly likely to cut the budgets of Regulatory Agencies such as the FCC for example, because they CAN, a Democratic executive is more than likely to increase funds to regulatory agencies…….Presidents have control of 100s of federal regulatory agencies with 1000s of sub-agencies. Any commoner can see that yes, the Government is big, but it didn’t grow that way on accident, without them we may have fallen under a Manchurian Candidate styled Government decades ago.

My opinion on the clean-up….I don’t have one, I think that this ordeal will be best judged AFTER the spill is plugged and the clean-up is fulfilled….Maybe I’ll post again when that happens…

SideBar: I’ve noticed how the OilSpill isn’t FRONT PAGE NEWS on CNN.com anymore..Gee wonder why that is…maybe because their catering to a certain demographic? Nobody ever calls on CNN for their mismanaging of the news…..

Random Conversation: Peace Can we have it?

Is is possible to move past Hatred(all levels) and War?

Of course its possible, just look at how the world has changed the past 50 years, especially in the US, a very SHORT SPAN in comparison to human history, which is around 75,000 to 200,000 depending on ur references…

Technology has never grown as fast as it has, in comparison to the past 10 years, our world is changing and its changing fast. We have set backs, like racism, xenophobia(relevant to this), sexism, war, natural and economic disasters, but if we didnt have them, we would learn to evolve past them…I have no doubt in my mind we will get there as long as there are people (like us), around who love the earth and want to move passed Monetary gains for the sake of our future.

Since I cant walk down the street hand in hand with my boyfriend, without fearing for my life, and have less than half the rights of Straight ppl, I should pay less than half their taxes.

Washington State wants to tax UNMARRIED couples. I don’t understand how that works, and where does it stop? I mean will Straight boyfriend/girlfriend couples be taxed as married couples? Will Roomates?! This isn’t justice, this isnt fair, and this most definitely isn’t an issues that gay rights SUPPORTERS should support? Its overstepping, Adoption, Marriage, Equal Workers rights, and a myriad of other issues need to be taken care of before we’re unequally taxed, under the veil of “equality”.

I understand that the state was giving the Gay Community an “Olive Branch” of sorts, but I dont want special treatment, its like a Fminist fighting for rights but not Privileges of Males, its not fair for me to be treated differently because of who/how I have sex or with.

Pre-Amble “Misconceptions” Rant

Posted in Politics, Rant with tags , , , , , , , on April 15, 2010 by phoenixjeff

The Pre-Amble, although NOT legally binding in any legal sense, says “We The People”, this is commonly misconstrued to mean everyone in the United States, but who we “we the people” when this was written, “white PROPERTY owning men”..who are “we the people now “all people in the United States, in all of our diversity”….altho, there are still a few of us..not treated equally..for example, the 14th Amendment, which was passed in 1868, calls for the Equal Protection of the law, were women equally protected then? Nope, not until 1920 did women get Suffrage. MY point is that we may not have it yet, but one day hopefully #Gay people in the #UnitedStates will have equal treatment under the law, from Adoptions, to Marriages, to JOB security, will one day to have equal protection under the law….we have to fight though, it will not be handed to us…

Rant on Dying Alone…:(

Posted in Rant, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , on April 6, 2010 by phoenixjeff

I cant believe that in this day and age people can STILL be denied visitation of dying relatives in 29states, just because bigots dont like the type of sex gay people have…this is probably the most heartbreaking and devastating failure of the American Justice System, for this ISNT justice. You mean to tell me I can go get married in Connecticut, go on vacation in Florida and die alone because Im not a female?

As if they were just Acquaintances…I know this is an old article, Im just posting it to prove a point, and hopefully start a constructive discussion

And probably the best article Iv read in the past few years

“Negro” in United States Federal Census

Posted in Politics with tags , , , , on January 7, 2010 by phoenixjeff

…I don’t believe this. I hadn’t realized that Jim Crow laws were reinstated this past week, and I also didn’t even realize that this White Majority, up and decided to go and talk to the LAST 3 elderly black people who still consider themselves a 2nd class citizen. People of African Descent have come a long way, or so I was confused to believe. To me the word “Negro” is just as bad as the “N-Word” a word that has NEVER been uttered from my lips, in Slang form or derogatory form, to me this word represent a lack of both self-respect and knowledge of everything our ancestor went through to get us to the place where we are now.

It amazes me how everyone thought the election of President Obama made racism go away. I’ll reference the first place I found out about the use of this word on a federal document, here, check out those comments and you tell me that racism disappeared in 2008. I “love” to see people perpetuating what white people already think about us. These peopel do NOT see themselves as racist from their always beginning with “Im not a racist but….” posts and replies, but honestly, if you didnt think you were about to write something racist you wouldnt have written that….2nd class citizen black people are obviously still considered.

I’m so disgusted and disappointed at my country right now that I cant even think straight. I don’t have the ability right now to play “devil’s advocate” with the federal government. I don’t care what any other black person says who “supports” the use of the word “Negro” and ALL of its form, I don’t care to much for people who say we are taking BACK a word that as never ours to begin with. All I care about is the fact that more and more we ware showing a lack of SELF-RESPECT, and a forgetfulness of the struggles our ancestor had to go through…today I learn that we are even further behind in racial relations that I thought. A group and ROOM full of white people decided that the word “Negro” was still acceptable on a FEDERAL document because they “think” some older black people, (the ones who FOUGHT for us to not be considered 2nd class citizens BTW), would appreciate the generosity the , yea…thats logical indeed. I have white friend who would take offense to this, thats just how illogical the mindset is in the Senate…with ONE illegally posted black senator…
